Leaf Clean up questions
What's the purpose of cleaning leaves?
In the fall and winter the days get shorter and the air begins to get colder leaving less sunlight and good tempetures for grass and plants to grow. Leaf removal is a very important thing so that the very little sunlight and temperature we do have will get to the grass and sunlight for it have the best chance of coming back in the spring to thrive and grow to be a beautiful lush lawn!
How we remove leafs?
Typically we will mow over the yard one to two times then we will blow all the leaves out of the yard to the curb and we will then use our machines to suck the leaves out! We do this because we found it to be the best way to clean up leaves for many reason! Leaves can leave behind nutrient for the grass but to many leaves can suppress the growth of the grass that’s why we mow over once to get some nutrients and then blow the rest to the curb to be removed for the best growth of the yard!
bed and shrub maintenance Questions
Do we use Herbicides?
We prefer manual bed weeding for a pristine, well-maintained appearance. While herbicides work, they take time and leave dead weeds. Opting for manual removal eliminates the need to return for dead weed removal, ensuring your yard remains perfectly manicured from the start.
Shrub trimming and plant maintenance
A well-planted bed reduces weeds but requires maintenance for optimal plant growth. Shrub trimming is the most common form of upkeep for plants in beds. While some plants thrive with minimal care, others, due to rapid growth or confined spaces, need frequent trimming. The frequency varies, with some requiring a yearly trim and others benefiting from monthly attention. Each plant and yard are unique, demanding tailored care.
